Sol Gabriel
PROFILE

Based in Florence, Italy, I design costumes for film, theatre and performance, combining craftsmanship, historical research and material experimentation.

My professional background spans fashion design, leather goods development, theatrical costume making and education, allowing me to approach every project through both technical expertise and visual storytelling.

Every costume begins with research, collaboration and respect for materials, creating garments that support character, movement and narrative.

Craftsmanship

CRAFTSMANSHIP

Every costume starts long before the first stitch.

Research, observation and dialogue are at the heart of my creative process. I develop costumes that support character, movement and storytelling while respecting the integrity of materials and craftsmanship.

CREATIVE TRANSFORMATION

Upcycling is not a trend.
It is part of my design process.

I see existing garments and materials as opportunities for new narratives. Through transformation, each costume gains a renewed identity while preserving the memory of its original material.

SUSTAINABLE DESIGN

Sustainability is part of the creative process.

Rather than creating from new resources, I enjoy exploring the potential of existing garments and textiles. Upcycling allows me to transform materials into costumes with a renewed identity, where craftsmanship and sustainability become part of the same narrative.

COLLABORATION

Every project is built through dialogue.

I enjoy collaborating with directors, performers and creative teams, translating concepts into costumes that support character, movement and storytelling throughout the production process.
